Hi everyone, I attended this school to be somebody, and with what I felt this school relayed- was the possibility that if I really wanted to I could. Not only that I would receive the dream job, and that they would help me in the process too, but that my education was real, and would be accepted in the job field as credible.

IADT also told me that this school was fighter-accredited...with the confidence behind the woman's voice, I assumed it was something important. To my dismay as I tried to transfer to another school, my credits didn't transfer, the other schools did not recognize the accreditation of IADT. Not only was I head over heels in debt, but I lost all hope.

I refuse to allow this school to take advantage of any other poor student, or someone else's child like they did me and others who are working on and trying to find a way to go about this. If anyone wants to join me in finding a solution, please contact me asap.

Clearly there are educational universities and then there are schools created as businesses by individuals for their own profit.  Sadly, Iadt falls under the latter.  $40,000 in debt with 18.5%  interest is nearly impossible to pay off. So, how to fix this?  I'm not exactly sure, but I am studying the difference between schools that are accredited vs not. I believe that if the university is not accredited, then the loans are not student loans, but rather loans for educational purposes. Those loans should be able to clear under bankruptcy, while student loans are not.  ALSO, Andrew Cuomo, while attorney general of new york, went after lenders such as sallie mae for their lending practices that benefit the buisiness' more than the lenders. My lender, sallie mae, settled for $2million.  Please contact me with any information or groups that may apply to my situation.  Thanks, Melissa

I am so with you guys on this.  That school is a scam.  I am facing $57,000.00 in student loan debt, and working as a waitress.  When I did get a job in the world of Interior Design, I was hired at a furniture store making $10.00 an hour.  Minimum wage in Washington is $9.02.  No thank you.  It is a joke.  I have gone through several interviews for jobs and employers have never even heard of the school.  Not to mention, the totally embarassing commercials aimed towards low-income, unmotivated people.  I cannot believe I fell for this scam.  Also, they always tell students they are on the Dean's list- sorry to burst your bubble... they just want to ensure you will continue dumping $5000.00 a quarter for this unreputable, pathetic excuse for a school.

The same thing has happed to me. They even closed down the program I studied in Marketing. I would love to join you and find a way to make them own up to what they did to so many of us. I don't want them doing this to another innocent person trying to get an education to make a better life for themselves. Please let me know how I can help.
