Beginning in May 2007, our company (Napa Ford Lincoln-Mercury) received unsolicited fax messages from International Directories Corporation for Inclusion in the 2007 edition of The California Business Directory. The invoice is for $199.00. We did not request inclusion in the directory, nor did we pay the invoice faxed to us (almost weekly). Now we are receiving faxed collection letters stating that the invoice cannot be cancelled and threatening to turn the account over to their collection agency. This is a total scam. I searched the internet and found information at consumerfraudreporting.org indicating that the FCC has filed a Notice For Apparent Liability for Forfeiture against this company in the amount of $153,000.
