International Library Of Poetry Of Poetry.com did not send items purchased ripped off for total of $256.00 Owings Mills Maryland
On September 8, 2003, I responded to an announcement and an offer received via regular mail and email saying that one of my poems was selected to be in a book called Eternal Portraits. I thought this was kind of exciting, and my friends would be pleased to receive one of these books as a Christmas gift. So, I ordered 6 books for a total of $256.00. I have the email confirming my order.
I have tried to call them and actually succeeded in getting through once to be told that I would receive the books the last week of November. I have not been able to get through to them since, and I have not received the books. When you call them (it's not a toll free number) you are always told that there will be at least an 8 minute wait. It was much more - I have now incurred considerable long distance charges trying to contact these people.
I wanted so much for this to not be a scam, but at this point it looks like I am out $256.00 with nothing at all to show for it.
These people really need to be stopped.
