I received a letter from this company to advise that there had been a mix up with names and numbers and the results were later released on 6th June and my name was included in the winners. Apparently, my name was entered as an alternative number, a group of numbers followed. I had been approved a lump sum of 715,810.00 euros in cash.

The funds have been deposited in a bank and have been insured in my name. I am to keep my award information 'strictly from public notice'. I am to fax the payment processing form to Don Luis Tomez, the foreign services manager of Fina Seguridad and financier company, SA on tel +34 655 064 529, fax +34 911 414278. I must collect my prize by 24th June.

Given that I had never heard of this company, I immediately googled the company name and this is where I found this site. It would appear that such letters have been dispatched worldwide. I wonder what happens to people who do respond, are they robbed of personal information and banking details? What, if anything is being done to stop these companies from operating?
