Letter states $815,940 was won in Spanish Sweepstake Lottery/International Promotion Program held on May 1, 2008. To claim winnings, contact by telephone the claim agent, the Foreign Service Manager of Union Security and Finance Company.

After contacting the claim agent, he requests that Michael Anderson at UNICAJA Bank be called, who asks for name, address, telephone number, age and employment, then advises that he will call back after he verifies info.

When he calls back, he gives 3 options to claim winnings: Travel to Madrid; send a money order for agent's fee; or give them bank account number so that winnings can be deposited, less agent's fee.

This is not a legal lottery - only Spanish citizens can participate in lotteries in Spain.

It doesn't sound like you took the bait because if you did, you're an idiot. How did it rip you off?
