International Satellite Communications, BBG Communications Charged $72.63 for ONE minute call! Brussels Other
My wife went on a trip to Tel Aviv with a stopover in Brussels. Her cell phone did not work there, so she used a local payphone to make a collect phone call home, just to tell me everything was OK. The call took about ONE minute.
Then the phone bill came home... I was charged no less than $72.63 for that minute!
This is about 1000 (ONE THOUSAND) times the normal international rates - something like selling a 2 liter coke for $1500!
I plan to contact my local phone company (through which the bill came) and tell them that I refuse to pay that bill.
