International Satellite Communications Exorbitant rates charged for international call from Frankfurt Airport Nationwide
Recently my family traveled to India via Frankfurt. They used a phone in the airport to leave a voice mail to my phone in US. It was a 30 second call and I was billed for $60.13 on my credit card. I disputed the transaction and shocked to learn that they will charge the calls at 5 minute increments @$12 a minute average.
Equally shocking was to learn that there is no website for this company, rates are not posted on the phone nor they advise the customers what rate they are going to charge. However they expect the customers to call thier international operator to know the rates before any call was made.
This company claims to have been regulated by FTC and other international regulatory bodies but when asked for rates/webpage they came up with a blank answer and offered a 50% settelment. I did not take the offer and decided to file the dispute with my credit card company and refer this case to VISA international to strip their license off for indulging in fradulent practices.
What a rip-off!!!!
