International Society Of Poetry evil dirt bags Owings Mills Maryland
Hi I'am a 12 year old and I'm really talented when it comes to poetry. It pops right into my head. I saw an add on a website about the the Summer COnvention where the Grand Prize was worth 20,000 dollars. I entered a really good poem. I got a letter in the mail in a about 2 3 weeks. it told me i was selected. I thought i was actually worth something.
I was so excited i told everyone. My family, my friends, even people I dislike jus to brag. Well one day my friend told me that it was probably a rip-off. Well she was right.
That night i went home. I didn't believe her so i looked it up. I found this website and read all the complaints and rip-offs. My heart was torn every-which way. I started to cry.
I guess i felt special. You know how that feels. Well i had to tell everyone that it was a rip-off which made me cry even more. It was so important to me.
Now the reason i couldn't go is that i couldn't afford to go even by myself. I called the customer service and they told me Nothing but $hit!!!! Which really ( excuse my language) pissed me off!!
If i could i would do something about it but whos gonna listen to a kid right? not many people. Thats why i ask if you'd bust these dumb asses!!!!!!!
Thanks for Reading this,
Kristin

In 1989, my then girlfriend's first job out of college was doing calligraphy for National Reference Press, which is/was owned by the same
people as International Society of Poetry.
I'm not sure if they still use the NRP name.
The deal with them was, they would run ads in
trade mags soliciting nominees for books like
"Who's Who in American Nursing" "Who's Who in American Podiatry" Who's Who in American Civil Engineering". They would also do mass mailings to names on mailing lists they would buy.
The deal was, if you bought the book, you got into it.If you did not, you didn't get in.
My girlfriend did the certificates that got mailed to those who bought. She quit after three months because her conscience got the best of her.
What a sad way to make a living.
