I had entered poetry contest online some time ago. Got letter stating I was one of 37 people that won editors choice awards, also an outstanding achievement in poetry award, a bronze commemorative medallion award, one full year membership into the international society of poets.

Was invited to attend the annual summer convention and symposium to be held in the United States Capital, Washington, D.C.. Also a free subscription to The Poets's Corner quarterly newsletter. also I was to receive a $100 gift certificate off the registration of a future ISP convention.

They arranged for professional poetry readers to present my poem at the gathering. They said all that was requiered for them to immediately send me all of the awards was for me tosend us a poem to be formally presented at the convention.

Additionally, because I would not be present, they had to ask me for the necessary funds of $169.00 plus p/h to cover the costs of the time and effort required to present my poem fefore the convention attendees both aloud and in writing. the costs incurred with insuring and shipping the items mentioned.

They said they were ultimately most interested in meeting me and having me personally present my "artistry" to all.
