The business listed as ismpromos.com known as International Strategic Marketing, Inc. apparently is contracted as a client of JVC USA to handle rebate submitions for qualifying products purchased by consumers. I sent to this firm a rebate form along with all necessary documentation on 10/1/03 and per terms stated on form could expect to receive a rebate of $30 within 6 to 8 weeks.

My first email inquiry on 12/10/03 was replied that nothing had yet been processed and they were backed up. My second email sent on 1/15/04 was responded to by asking if I had included the product upc with my submission. My reply on 1/16/04 explained that yes I had and possessed copies of all materials in the event of such 'discrepencies'. On 1/20/04 I again emailed to jvcmobileredemption@ismpromos.com and received a reply on 1/21/04 that "I went through some files and found your upc barcode. I will enter that and you should receive a check within 10-14 business days. I'm sorry for the delay."

It is now 2/29/04 and I have yet to receive my money from this place. It has been 4 months and they have used tactics of stalling, ineptitude and apparent deceit to prevent processing of payment to me. I also have records of email correspondence complete with headers verifying these facts.

To date I have filed complaints with the FTC and BBB. Next will be to contact the Colorado Attorney General office where this company is based.
