This Company Initially contacted me by e-mail and said my website wsa unique and they would like to add my site to thier 4greatbuys.com mall for free. I contacted them and Brad Bartolone returned my call very pushy and said they could increase traffic to my site a lot but it would cost $980.00 I could not pay so they set up installments $490 up front $81.67 monthly for 6 months. I went from about 20 hits a day to zero for days on end and month after month as per contract I signed, I called to cancel service they have refused and continue to take money from my credit card. My website was one of hundreds almost exact sites at 4greatbuys Internet Advancement refused a refund. You would think 20 hits a day is nothing but it's better than zero.

This is a con, misleading deception, and a fraud I have turned this company over to the (FTC) Federal Trade Commission.
I do not enjoy being ripped-off and I am very happy to have a source to report such activities.

Internet Advancement Ripped me off too

Internet Advancement got me too. I got an email and a phone call from a sales person named David. I was promised Top 20 placement in 6 major search engines in all 15 keywords that we submitted. We placed in the top 50 of only 2 keywords out of 15. I asked if we could change the discription of the tags and was told by Levi that it would be ok. Once we decided that Internet Advancement was not the company up to the task of working on a real ecommerce site we called & emailed for 2 weeks straight before we got Jason Carter (if that is his real name) the customer service manager. I told him that we would like to cancel our contract as well as a full refund of the money that was charged (over $600 at this point.) Jason told us that we voided our contract when we changed the description tag. I explained that this was done only after consulting with Levi. Jason said that he did not believe me and I said that is fine you don't have to believe me I only want my money back. Jason again refused and offered me 3 additional months of free service and reoptimization. I flatly refused his services. If Internet Advancement could not fullfill it contract in the 60 days that it asked for another 90 would only bring my site lower in ranking. I told him that I would report them to the badbusinessbureau.com (Jason: the only people who read that site are idiots) the FTC, and the Washington Better Business Bureau, and at minimum every single business owner I can contact from now until forever. For my company $600 is a lesson learn. We are still waiting for the confirmation email from "Jason" about our contract being voided. This is a company to be avoided at all cost.

Another dissatisfied customer who did not get a refund as promised

Internet advancement refused to refund my $980. I called 7 times, sent a letter by postal mail, and numerous emails but they kept trying to offer me free months or free upgrades. I sell gift items and did not receive even one visitor to my new website in 6 months after Internet Advancement put new metatags on my homepage. They refused to show me any of the supposed directory information pages they said were supposed to help get me a better ranking. They picked some weird combination of keywords that noone seems to search for.

Bottom line I feel like they ripped me off and stiffed my requests for a refund. I have reported them to FTC. I also got the same deceptive Spam email from Naomi. Avoid this company at all costs. I would not accept their service if they paid me $1,000 to take it.

I have found another search engine firm that is legitimate and has worked with me to create better links to my site, change the copy on my webpages, and gotten me top rankings on Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. I also have gotten several new customers in less than 60 days for a lot less money than I wasted with Internet Advancement.

Hope this helps a few people avoid getiing ripped off.

Internet Advancement: You are a rip-off!

I am so disappointed and let down by what I thought was going to be a terrific business relationship between my new business and Internet Advancement. I received the same emails that the first business owner did and was won over by the salesman I spoke with, feeling like he was a trustworthy person who would help make my website a successful business tool. My partner and I knew we had a very tight budget to work with and I even shared that with the salesman. He assured me that the orders would be pouring in within 60 days. After 6 months, we have had almost no traffic to our website and cannot be found without typing in our exact web address. I have called and emailed Internet Advancement to request a refund, leaving message after message and getting absolutely no response. We did not have $980.00 and 6 months to waste.

ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

#7REBUTTAL Owner of company

As every business owner knows, sometimes you can't make a customer happy no matter what you do.

We are currently helping approximately 6000 clients achieve top placement on all the major search engines. Unfortunately in the search engine marketing business its impossible to be perfect. That is why we offer a money back guarantee. AND, WE DO GIVE REFUNDS. We are proud of the fact that most of our 6000 clients are happy with the results we are achieving for them. One unhappy customer doesn't make our company a rip-off.

We have been using Internet Advancement for 2 years and we have had nothing but good experiences with them.

We use them for our e-commerce web development clients and they have reported amazing results.
Example: One client went from 200 hits a month to over 2000 in 2 months. Today, 6 months later they recieve 14,000 hits a month.

We highly recommend Internet Advancement.

I have been an internet advancement customer for 2 years now and have been very pleased with their service. It costs me a minimal amount per month and has increased traffic to my site tremendously. I used to get maybe 20 internet orders a season and now I get more than 80! They helped me with my met tags, listings, and have been very responsive to any of my customer service needs. They send me regular reports of my listing status and also have gien me coverage at 4greatbuys.com (of which I have not received any business - oh well) at no additional cost. My web designer has lookind into the company and also agrees that they are legit and a good marketing tool for me.
