Received, in today's mail, a letter thanking me for setting up my new account. I had been told, during the initial contact, that my company was being listed in "free" internet yellow pages. I specifically confirmed that this was to be only a free service, or I instructed the caller to remove my listing. Several times I was assured that he listing would incur no further obligation, and would be at NO COST.

To authorize creation of my "free" listing, I went through a robo-phone checklist, during which time my "representative" spoke over the recording, leaving me to answer a question that I had not heard. Several times I hesitated and was told repaetedly that this was for my free listing.

Several days later I received a call confirming my acceptance, and I again stressed that I would only accept the service at no charge. I was assured by the caller that this was the case.

I today's mail (10/18/10) I received a letter dated 10/4/10 informing me of the creation of my new account, a website of www.xxxxxxxx.myiba.bix (I've substituted the "xx's"), and informing me that I had until 10/19/10 to cancel.

I immediately called and cancelled this "service" and was given a cancellation confirmation number. Had I not cancelled, the service would have cost $39.95 a month, beginning the day after tomorrow.

I am convinced that this letter was not mailed on 10/4/10 as it is dated. In fact, I would not be at all suprised to find that it was mailed late enough to incur at least one month's $39.95 fee, and that I only received it so quickly because the Postal Service delivery worked superbly. I cannot confirm the date of mailing as it is a pre-printed envelope that shows: PRSRT STD, U.S. POSTAGE PAID, MID-FL, PERMIT NO. 405.
