Complaint Review: InterPark Parking Pittsburgh

What a bunch of ripoff artists. Pulled into their garage across from the old Kaufmanns in downtown Pittsburgh., circled through the garage and never parked. Got to the gate, put the ticket in and it wouldn't raise. Spent the next 5 minutes or so finding somebody to help me, then arguing with him about whether or not I had to pay. He said they allow 5 minutes to get in and out without being charged, but due to the ongoing construction at the site it is impossible to do so. End result, I paid $6 for the privilege of driving through their messed up garage. Total time as listed on the ticket was 11  minutes of which at least 5 was spent arguing with the attendant. But you see, the joke's really on them. Had they let me out, i'd have come back later and stayed in their garage for about 3 hours. The thieving bastards may have gotten my $6, but I spent $18 they would have gotten, in another lot that I made sure was NOT operated by InterPark. Plus, on future visits downtown, i'll park elsewhere or ride the bus and avoid this Mickey Mouse operation like the plague. I suggest you do the same.
