Complaint Review: Interstat Debt Management

 Interstate Debt Management is a scam!

I applied for a loan online in May of 2013, afew day after applying I received a phone call from a Connie Edwards. She asked me if I recalled applying for a loan online and I said yes. She said her company had been able to find a loan for me. i was very interested to hear what she had to say as I badly needed the loan. She told me that the loan she had found had two options I could either have a cosigner or I could pay the first three months payment upfront to secure the loan. Since I did not have a cosigner I decided to go with the option the put a down payment on the loan.

I got my 468 dollars together and called Ms. Edwards back wshe told me that I had to send the money via Western Union to a Kevin Parker in Ontario Canada as he would be the one lending the money. I got his address and sent the money this cost me an additional 40 doolars to send the money. I contacted Ms. edwards to let her know I had sent the money, she asked me how much my fee for sending the money was and told me that I would be reimbured for that fee I said ok. The money 5000 dollar loan was supopse to put into my bank accout within four hours and it was not.

I called Ms. Edwards back and wanted to know what was going on with my deposit I also told her I was now worried that this was a scam. She assured me it was not a scam and that I had a legal binding contract and if anything fell through I could take it to court. I took her at her word. She said she would have to see what was going on and call me back about the loan deposit. She called me back and said that the lender decided that I must buy insurance on the loan before he could deposit it. The insurance was gonna be 300 dollars. i told her I did not have anymore money to send that they had taken all my money and that even if I had more money I would not send them anymore as I had done my part and thus far they had done nothing but lie and mislead me. i told Ms.Edwards to cancel the loan and I was requesting a refund for the prepayment I had sent. She asked me if I wanted her to find me another loan and I said HELL NO! Just send me my refund. Ms. Edwards in formed me that the lender did not process refunds untill the 20th of each month she said mine would not be processed until June 20, 2013.

It is now June 25, 2013 I still have not recieved my refund, also when I try to call Interstate Debt Management i get a message saying that the number has been temporarily disconnected.

If you apply for a loan online and get a call from this company hang up it is definently a SCAM!
