We booked a week in Palm Beach Shores. However, hurricane Francis went ashore there five days (09/05/04) were to check in. We could not reach the resort, neither could Interval International. The phone lines were down and there was no power at the resort we were to stay at.

We received a phone call from Interval International on Thursday (09/09/04) stating that the phone lines were now working and they were expecting power to be restored there before the end of the weekend. We were to check in Friday (09/10/04) but since there was no power we were advised to call before we showed up.

We asked our options and were told we could cancel, however we would forfit the money for our exchange. They would give the week back to us, but we would have to pay another $130 to make another exchange, and we would only have a 30 day window to find a place to go to.

Since we live on the west coast of Florida, and Hurricane Ivan was coming this way we decided to cancel.
