Wiith a strong desire to return to my home resort (the Royal Haciendas in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo (Mexico)), I elected to participate in Interval Servicing's internal exchange program.  In past years it was possible to deposit one's unit and be assigned a substitute week, from the unsold timeshare unit intervals.  Under the new policy of Interval Servicing, one deposits their unit, and the company makes a token effort to locate a match up to 60 days prior to the commencement of the owned week. 

At the end of this period, one has the option of entering one's unit into an internal rental program.  Believing the rental program would be as ineffective as the internal exchange program, I elected not to participate in the rental program.  My only remaining option was to deposit the unit with an exchange company (Interval International, RCI, SFX Exchange, etc.).  

I believe Interval Servicing didn't market my available week.  I own week 1, which is the week beginning on the first Saturday in January.  I never received any evidence that Interval Servicing made any effort to locate a suitable exchange week.  Thus, I am very dissatisfied with Interval Servicing and am unlikely to ever use their internal exchange or rental program.
