My business is a restaurant and banquet facility.  At the suggestion from Intuit, I set-up my business using Quick Books Pro 2012, as this software was recommended for my specific business-type.  Since the software was installed, I have received no services from Intuit relative to industry specific troubleshooting.  After learning that we drastically overpaid sales tax (based on numbers in my Profit and Loss), I in fact have spent thousands on those who call themselves "private" Quick Books specialists, who were still unable to configure my files as needed for my business.  After expending numerous hours and months of fine tuning, I did manage to set up my Quick Books to account for deposits as a liability rather than income.

I have been using this software for two years, only to learn that ""as of yesterday, Intuit no longer supports this version".  In order to add a second user (as my business has expanded), I must purchase the latest version, which makes my existing software useless.  Intuit will not sell me a second license for the existing version.  The irony .... Intuit claims that I was only hours late in making this purchase.

Intuit offers no support for industry-specific issues.  The software is NOT SUITABLE FOR THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY, although they will sell it to you claiming that it is.  If there are QB specialists that can make this software conform, I am yet to find them ...   AT ANY PRICE!
