The representative I met with, Ms. Sorge, with Invention Submission Corporation, gloated over my invention, making me feel as though I had a product with definite income potential. The contracts state that the representative cannot give you an "opinion" of your invention yet on one of thier contracts it states: If we or our sales consultatns tell you for example, that your idea is "good" "is potentially marketable", "is commercailly feasible" or that "it is promotable", such statments represent only the opinion of ISC, WISC, or its sales consultants and in no way imply that a competent and objective apprisal or evalution of the merit or marketablility of your idea or product has been conducted.[direct quote from Affirmative Disclouser Statment].

Not only does the company infringe on people's hope it also makes false allegations of its success rate, and the companies they have in their data base. For instance, they sent me a letter stating that "Keenest Enterprise and Tropical Science" have showed intrest in my invention. When I conducted my own research, I discovered that the companies where non-existant. To my amaze, I'm not the only one that has been defrauded. The Federal Trade Commission has over 100 pages of complaints against this company. When I signed up with the company, it was not disclosed to me that a litigation was brought against them in 1993 and 1994.

When I voiced my concerns to the company representative about my research, they sent me a letter stating that they will give me $1,000 dollars, basically to keep me quite. The amount they offered me is a joke compared to what I paid them, $13,000 aprox. I want my full amount and I will not stop pursing them until I have the complete amount in my hands.  JOHN    MARCH,  2007     do realize your report about the invention companies is here on rip off a few years back, but just to let you know,   you stated   THIS IS WHAT YOU MUST DO ,  yes, that is just what I did , plus more, and I am not getting anywhere, over and over and over, being told they can't help me, in other words " just go away don't bother me", is the impression I get. I lost alot, financial suffering, just like the rest numerous reports,   my story is no different.

Anyone who fall for this or any invention company,  my sympathy,  really do feel sorry for anyone.  Everyone had creative ideas, with big, big hopes and dreams.  It is a crying shame that any of these invention companies are still in business.

If an investigation can be done, how anyones income comes from the royalities, from all the lost or stolen ideas, this may be one way to help.

To JOHN  and/ or  PETER     California       your report is back a few years ,  but I am asking for help.  I did  all the things you listed, plus some.   Still being told now, not enough complaints on the list to do anything about these invention scams. Dave Jarrett told me my idea would sell within the year; then when the year was over, he turned around told me he never promised me anything. then the invention company put my idea in a trade show, sent me list and list of mfg names, when I followed up and wrote a letter to the invention company they told me there were no response from any of the mfg companies. do you believe how this company operates??  today my idea is being sold everywherw!! it was stolen.
I am being told limitation of time,  i can't do anything about it, but my feelings are DISCOVERY OF FRAUD  I do know my idea was taken from me, just like all the other stories and complaints listed on ripoff.
It is difficult to understand that these invention companies are still in business!  (((ROR redacted))) please contact me if  you or anyone found the right person to help.
I need an attorney and they won't even look or listen to my story, immediately told NO, time ran out. what about DISCOVERY OF FRAUD LAW?

I know Lark Blasi she is one well let's say gym teacher mentality I guess she never found the right guy. The players in this company are Martin Berger,Gary Jones who you can call at 412-288-1300 ext1304. Elaine Angert is the Advertising Manager and that is just to name a few. This company needs to be shut down because they are getting away with fraud. I don't want to put a laundry list here but I think the more that comes out about them the better.

you file with all the entities I mentioned in my response. Especially the FTC and mention the FTC findings -FTC94- and what that agreement mandates... a full refund. also make sure the USPTO posts your complaint on their site.

Invention Submission Corporation

#11Author of original report

I filed a small claims report with Los Angeles Superior Court against Invention Submission Corporation. The amount allowable is $7,500. At that time, my case was being reviewed by a lawyer who stated that he can get my full payement of $12,990. I retracted my claim from small claims court. Prior to canceling my claim, a representative from ISC called me to offer $7,500. I did not accept offer since I was confident that I can get a full refund.
The lawyer that was reviewing my case decided not to take my case because Pittsburg, PA(headquarters), laws are different from California, Burbank,(where contract was signed).

Thanks so much for all your support and responses to my reports and plea for full refund.

Have you made any headway going to Mary Beth? I was given the cold shoulder by the Atty Gen's office due to the lack of others reporting their plights also and need other venues to go to.

This is what you MUST do......

What you MUST do-it is IMPERATIVE:

Contact Jennifer Kelley in the PA Attorney General's Office with a complaint. Make sure you reference them as "formerly Invention Submission Corp." This is imperative! Here is the complaint form to fill out and address to Ms. Kelley:

http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/bcp_form.cfm

Jennifer Kelley-Agent
Office of Attorney General
564 Forbes Ave.
6th Floor, Manor Bldg.
Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219

Also send a copy here:

Office of Attorney General
Bureau of Consumer Protection
14th Floor, Strawberry Square
Harrisburg, PA 17120

As well as to your Attorney General. They can be found here:

http://www.naag.org/ag/full_ag_table.php

Also file a complaint with the United States Patent and Trademark Office-copy and paste the below address and scroll down to "complaints" and them "complaint forms"

http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/com/iip/index.htm

Also with the FTC:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

Also with consumer affairs online:

http://consumeraffairs.com/php/a_report.php

Complaints about them as Invention Submission Corp. can be found. Also read what a former employee says about the way they operate.

Make sure you reference this in your complaint in association with Invention Submission

Do not let them bully you into a partial refund. They tried the excuse that "it's been 10 years" with me-as well as a gag order. I want the full refund as required by the FTC-94 ruling. This is the minimum I will accept to even think about not talking about this scam. I have the list of alleged "companies" from their highly touted "databank" that had NOTHING to do with what I was trying to market-much less that I needed foreign patents and was told I didn't-a violation of FTC-94.

I don't care how long it's been. All this scam information and rulings have not been available for 10 years so who cares. I, myself, didn't get internet access until 1999 and was a real rookie then as to how to search and access information. I am quite a bit better now and they will pay-either me by way of a full refund or in loss of revenue which I know has already exceeded what they could/should have refunded me.

Keep us updated. We must keep these slugs in the public eye to save others from the same fate.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
