I have received two (2) telephone calls from a person that said he was an iolo Technologies Support person, and he gave me the name Sanjeev.  He said he needed to take control of my computer, by using a program (ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint), to show me why my iolo Technologies System Mechanic Program was not working as it should.

I allowed him to take control of my Dell XPS M1530 Computer, which was mistake number one (1)!  He advised me to just type in ABBYY in the address Bar, which I did.  He had control of my computer just as soon as I typed in ABBYY!  There was no way I could cancel the take over of my computer, because there was on option for me to end the session!

The guy, by the name of Sanjeen, started showing me my Event File and told me that everything that was listed in my Event File was caused by Hackers.  Well, I just happen to quite familiar with the Event File and everything that it contains, so when he started showing me my System configuration and telling me "you see all the programs that are stopped, that's because your computer has been Hacked."

I said to him, what is it going to cost me to get all of the hundreds of problems you say I have fixed? I knew at this poing this was nothing more than a scam, he said I can give you System Mechanic Pro for a lifetime, it will take two (2) Technical Support agents to fix all the problems; however, I can give you a lifetime support program for only $349.99, or I can setup a three (3) support program for only $199.99.

I told him to send me an email with everything that the lifetime support program will cover.  However, he did not want to do that, so he typed in the Note Pad Program what it would cost, and included two (2) telephone numbers, which are 303 351 5183 and 303 351 5186 ext. number 302 and included the the name Ricky.

After telling him that I would look it over and call him back, I shut down my computer and restarted it, knowing that this person was tyring to scam me.  I found where he had installed a program, by the name of ABBY FineReader on my computer.  I uninstalled the program, ran a full scan of my computer, which found nothing. I then called him back at the two (2) different phone numbers he had given me, and the only thing I got was a voice recording stating that the persoin I was trying to contact was not available, and after the tone, leave a message! I didnot leave a message!

I did not give him any credit card information, so I don't think he could charge anything to my credit card.

If iolo Technogogies is involved, then there should be so kind of investigation done on this company!
