A couple of weeks ago "Heather and Mike" came to our door saying they had Rib Eye steaks for $3/pound.  They told us one of our neighbors ordered 6 boxes but their credit was denied.  They showed us the contents of a case which contained an assortment of "steaks."  They told us it normally sells for $389 but since they do not want tor return to Grimes with the meat they would make a special deal and sell it for $137 plus tax.

The first "steak" that we tried were the Rib Eyes.  It did not look like any kind of Rib Eye that I have ever grilled.  The mead did not turn brown as I was grilling it but it looked more purple.  We looked at other items in the assortment and both wondered what kind of meat it really is.

Buyer Beware!!  I am going to find an experienced butcher and have him take a look at it to determine what it really is.  Also I will call the USDA to find out if this meat has ever been inspected.

Why did it take over a month to respond to this complaint?  Yes, you do sell "Iowa Steaks" in other states.  I have also seen complaints from people in Michigan and Tennessee.  The "steaks" are poor quality and the only way that I would be happy is to have someone pick them up and give a full credit.

The story about one of your regular customers not having enough room on their credit card is suspicious.  When I gave them my credit card, they only made an impression of it.  They did not call anyone.  It is a good story.
