IPG ( International paint ball group) is a company that sells ticket packages for paintballing. Typically the package includes 10 tickets at $100.00 . Then you book a location that they have an agreement with, to book your day. This booking costs around $10.00 and includes 100 paint balls. You buy the rest from that location.

These packages go on sale at various locations in the city , in our case the package of tickets was bought at WEM and the company sets up there twice a year.

My wife bought the tickets last Christmas based on the locations that were on the brochure, Morinville and Gibons . When she called to set up the appointment today the Morinville and Gibons locations were not available, When she asked why they said that they cancelled the contract with those two locations. So she asked the booking agent to find the next closest location and he said Millarville. Well we found out that Millarville is 350 km away from Edmonton.

She phoned back to cancel the appointment which was booked via credit card ($85.11) they said they couldn't do it, or were not willing to do it. The agent was very belligerent and had the attitude of too bad so sad. I called back and spoke to another agent , and she was very hard to understand and very evasive. She said that the manager will have to investigate and get back to us on Monday.

I called Gibons paintball and the Manager said that they stopped dealing with IPG 1.5 years ago . And we bought the tickets half a year ago.  The Gibons paint ball location has asked IPG  to remove their  location from the brochures of IPG  several timesThe Morrinville location also stopped dealing with IPG.

My wife called them back to tell them that Gibons and Morinville had not dealt with them for almost a year and half. IPG response was that they stopped dealing with them 3 weeks ago.

The company is still selling ticket packages with the Gibons location  and the Edmonton location which is Morinville. I checked their website today. Check for yourself  http://www.ipgca.com/

There are many grievances according to the manager of Gibons . They sell a product under fraudulent circumstances and the packages with paintball are cheaper at the paintball locations plus you get more paint balls.

My husband wrote a report stating our concerns with IPG yesterday, I wanted to correct one very important fact. When I was trying to book a paintball place with an IPG representative , I made it very clear where I lived.  In fact the IPG representative joked about no one would drive for 3 1/2 hrs with a start time of 9:00 am. I initiallly asked for the Gibbons location but was told they do not book for them. The representative had a very heavy Australian accent so when he said the next closest to Edmonton is Millarville, I thought we were talking the Morinville location.  When my husband pointed out that the two locations sounded similar, I phoned back to clarify which location, at that time I was told it was in fact Millarville (350 Km away) as they also do not book for Morinville?  I stated a very obvious fact this was not going to work for us and this was done intentionally knowing that the only two Edmonton locations were not available.  I asked to cancel the tickets as well as stop payment on my credit card.  I was told they do not give refunds and the six tickets were gone, nothing they could do for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
