IQ Derma - Intelligent Beauty ,Credit Card RIP OFF, Return and Free Sample Lure Product ineffective Hermosa Beach,, California
This all started with aging. I researched products to find an anti wrinkle correction type product to reasonably reduce a few wrinkles. I understand they will not vanish. I LIVE life, ergo I will have some signs.
After some consideration, and not wanting to pay thousands for vanity surgery, I found IQ Derma products. Considering each persons skin and body is different, I wanted to try several products to see which would work best for me. IQ offers a free 15-day and 30-day trial size of anti-wrinkle product, and I figured I would need a full 30-days to properly evaluate the effects.
I signed up for the 30-day trial, and read through the fine print that explains my credit card would be billed on the 30th day if I did not call to cancel my free trial offer. In my personal planner, I wrote down the date for 30-days to the day I ORDERED the product to be safe, because the fine print doesnt exactly tell you which day the trial period ends.
After 17 days of using their products consistantly and in accordance with the directions, the only noticable effect was a slight oil slick look to my face, and the beginnings of adult acne. There was also a small redness by the corner of my left eye, which looked similar to a rash or rub burn.
I decided then to discontinue the use of the product, and call to cancel. I spoke to a rep, got my RMA #, got them to send me a pre-paid return box, gave them my email address and had to INSIST on them sending me an email confirmation, and after confirming there would be NO charges to my credit card I hung up thinking it was over.
The box arrived a few days later, I packed up the products, put the RMA# all over on the outside so it would not be overlooked, put it on a peice of paper inside the box just in case, and used the return mailer which also had the RMA# on it.
A week later, they charged my account the full "free trial" amount of $54.90, and two day later the "next shipment amount" of $94.90.
I called them immediately and demanded a refund of the charges, to which they stated it would take 3 days to 14 days to refund. This was not acceptable since I cancelled already and sent my products back.
I ended up having to call my bank and report fraudulent unauthorized charges on my account, and we ended up in a three-way conversation so the bank rep could get company information and confirmation the account was to be refunded. The BANK released the funds immediately, however IQ Derma three days later RECHARGED the account for the $94.90 again!
Once again, I called my Bank to settle the dispute, and because my bank keeps meticulous records, they had in the notations that this was resolved 3 days earlier. Once again the Bank refunded the funds, and at that time, had to refund Overdraft charges CAUSED by this additional charge to the account. In addition, the Bank had to initiate an investigation with the fraud department so that my account could be blocked from further transactions occuring from IQ Derma.
Two weeks later I received an email from IQ Derma saying they received my product return and the account was then closed. Interesting to note, I sent the box delivery confirmation, which showed the box was received by IQ Derma 4 days after I mailed it, still within the 30-day trial period. It was not PROCESSED however for an additional 3 weeks beyond that.
This company is fraudulent in so many areas.
