Complaint Review: Ira Toyota of Manchester NH

Ira Toyota of Manchester NH Car Dealership, Internet

I went to this dealership looking to trade my Lexus lease. They offered me $3000 less than what the KBB value of my car was, and my car was in perfect condition. Then they increased the loan of a Corolla from 18,000 to 25,000 to make up for the negative equity.

They gave me 0% financing which was great, but I told them I hated the Corolla and did not want it, I wanted an SUV. They told me to come back in 6 months and they will get me an SUV for the same financing. They promised that my trade in value of the Corolla would not depreciate much, both the sales person, manager, and finance managers said that and that was the only reason I agreed to the deal.

Then they called 4 days after I signed the papers for the Corolla. They said they wrote down the Lexus trade value wrong, and I had to resign. I tried to read the papers and they treated me like they needed the seat and I was taking too long. I found out later that it was because they added $3000 worth of warranties to my paperwork even though I told them I didn't want any of it. They also told me by buying a new car you get free maitenance, well you don't, you pay for it up front. Another lie!

I went back today, 6 months later, to trade for the SUV. Suddenly they cannot role any negative equity into a new loan, even though its the same amount as before, and they offered me thousands less than what it is worth. They told me they couldn't help me and to come back again in 6 months. When I asked why they lied and told me to buy this car and that they would make the SUV work in 6 months they had no answer. Sure they remembered saying that, but they obviously just wanted to make commission.

They took advantage of me when I was pregnant and looking for a family car, and put me into something way more expensive then I wanted, and left me screwed because of negative equity. They are liars, and no one should ever buy from them.

Karl:Violation of Terms of Service

#9Consumer Comment

What I wonder is why the Ed. continues to allow Karl to post because he is constantly in violation in this sites TERM OF SERVICE. Almost all of his posts contain; false statements, rumors, speculations and innuendo. He has little or no personal knowledge of ANY of the subject matter at hand. Hell, most of his post don't deal with the subject matter at hand nor do they add ANYTHING to the subject matter at hand! Though last week he did write a coherent, cognizant, pertinent rebuttal without a poem, though I suspect someone may have written it for him. Take for example the bountiful breast post. Karl posted 13 of the 14 rebuttals on that post. As far as I can tell, none of his rebuttals had anything to add to the OP's  dilemma  other then the everpresent moronic poem. Another violation is his number of posts on one subject in one day. This has to do with this sites 8 hour rule. Unless Karl is posting at 8 hour intervals, he's "spamming" under this sites rules. Again, what I wonder is how long the Ed. is going to allow Karl to post his nonsensical drivel.

according to Carol, who posted Ripoff Report #331575, okay?

If something like this happened to you, then you could take action against the Toyota dealership and possibly get out of your loan because it would mean that the loan documents that the bank received from the Toyota dealership were done in a fraudulent manner, correct?

*Make sure to contact the bank and get all of the copies of the loan documents that the dealership sent them, including the credit application, and go over each document to make sure that everything is correct.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

Jaimie, You can 'Google' this- FBI VISITS FOUR CHARLOTTE CAR DEALERSHIPS SEIZES FILES, and read....

the related articles on the web about how loan documents were altered, okay?

Then 'Google' this- LOUIS F HARRELSON ENTERS GUILTY PLEA IN FEDERAL, and read that article too.

Believe it or not, many car dealerships in the USA operated, & still operate, in this same way when selling and leasing vehicles to consumers. The legal system has been able to protect many of these people at the dealerships because much of our legal system in the USA is corrupt. You see, the owners and operators of car dealerships are able to make 'deals' with the legal system in order to keep the 'big-shots' out of jail.

The way that cars were, and still are sold, is the same way in which many houses were sold in the USA. You can 'Google' this- COUNTRYWIDE WHISTLEBLOWER REPORTS LIAR LOANS, and watch the related videos on the web.

*In short, much of the U.S. economy has its foundation solidly built on lies, deception, fraud, manipulation, greed, trickery, deep corruption, & the constant pursuit to financially injure the innocent people living here and all over the world.

Good luck to you!

Jaime,

You appear to be very young and naive, but there was no "rip off" here actually, as YOU agreed to everything. You ripped yourself off.

Verbal promises mean absolutely nothing, especially from a car salesman. Just common sense here. ALWAYS get any "promises" in writing. Again, just common sense here.

If you don't know anything about cars, car values, or the car buying process, you should take someone with you that does.

The fact that you were pregnant is irrelevent. The sympathy card gets you nothing. If being pregnant was a factor, maybe you shouldn't have gone car shopping while pregnant.

Now, as far as your "lease" trade in goes, part of the negative equity was the early termination fees, and associated costs with turning in a lease vehicle.

Leases are very bad deals for the average consumer.

As far as the $3000 in warranties they "added".
Those extended warranties are optional and cannot ever be added without your approval, in writing. And, they can never be required as a condition of obtaining financing.

Do you not know how to JUST SAY NO????

It appears that you really just don't have any real life experience, or even any common sense.
But no rip off actually occured.

You ripped yourself off when you decided to go car shopping by yourself without first doing your homework.

Car sales is the sleaziest industry of all, as you have found out.

..Granted.

But I have a very simple question...

In this report it is stated and I quote.."but I told them I hated the Corolla and did not want it, I wanted an SUV."

So....why did you leave this STEALership in a Corolla if you wanted an SUV??????????

Normally if I HATE something, I choose with my own free will and intelligence not to buy it in the first place. Unless this stealership had a gun to your head?

Next time you want an SUV, buy an SUV. Once you pay these dirt bag dealers for something..you can't come back later on and expect them to give a crap because you hate it. As far as they are concerned they made their commish off another sucker. You think any salesperson is willing to give up his/her commish AFTER you drove off in something you hate? These scoundrels LIVE for suckers like you..sorry to say. And they also have bills to pay..that comes before you.

on the web. You might want to contact the bank or financing company where the dealership sent all of your paperwork and tell them you want copies of everything the dealership sent to them.

There is a chance that some, most, or even all of your loan documents were altered by someone at the dealership in order for your loan to go through. You shouldn't necessarily trust your copies that the dealership gave you.

If any of the loan documents were altered, or forged, then you can sue the dealership and get out of your loan because you'd be able to prove that fraud took place, right? In the above video, Tori's monthly income was altered, correct? The finance manager obviously made a zero into an eight in order for the loan to go through. I believe that her monthly income was $1,000 but the finance manager must have made a zero into an eight in order to show $1,800 on her application, right? That's fraud, wouldn't you agree?

A finance manager could also turn a one into a four with the stroke of a pen, correct? Simply write down the number 1 on a piece of paper and then make it into a 4 with the stroke of a pen. Someone who wrote down that they made $1,700 per month could have it changed into $4,700 per month without their knowledge, right?

Make sure to contact the bank or financing company immediately and get ALL of the copies that the dealer sent them. Go over each document and compare it with your copies. If there are any discrepancies, then you can sue the dealership for potential fraud and possibly get out of your loan and sue the dealership for damages, correct?

Good luck, and keep us posted!

P.S. If they lied to you, then there's a chance that they lied to the bank, wouldn't you agree?
