Since I just got laid off by WorldCom, I was desperate to get a job and totally ignored all the red flags that I saw. Lachanda called me and set up an interview. I went in and along with about 7 other folks went thru a session with a black guy named Joe Rupert.

We took some kind of personality test and wrote down where we wanted to be in 3 years. A week later, Lachanda called me again for a second interview with Mr Chris(topher) Price on Mon 11/11/02 at Merch Exchange. It was hardly an interview, no questions were asked. I was given a package containing 2 CDs. One is a flash presentation about ISCS (Just the same infor on their website, which is currently down).

The 2nd one was a powerpoint CD. He asked me to pay $450 to which I frowned. He told me they wanted to ensure that their materials were given to only serious candidates. I didn't have the money then, so I went home.

I tried to do a research about this compnay but couldn't get anything. I called him two days later and asked him a couple of questions. He told me the training is Internet based and could be completed from my home PC if I had one. So I went in on 11/18/02 and made the payment(I feel like kicking myself).

When I read thru the material, there was a statement that says, "We Support and Deploy Technology", so I asked him, "Will I be selling anything" He said no that he wasn't looking for a sales person. I went home thinking "YES, all I gotta do is do my best and I'll be ok".

I gave the presentation my all, sent e-mails after every presentation and even answered 75 powerpoint questions. 2ndly, I was asked to write a letter that could be mailed to a potential client to convince them to have a website. I did. Let me mention, sometimes it takes 3 days for them to reply to my e-mails.

Even if you wanted to go thru with the training, you couldn't, they don't reply you in time and without their reply you cannot go to the next step; remember you have 30 days to complete the training else you failed. Anyways 3 days after I submitted the letter I composed to them at Idtraining101@aol.com, they replied again saying I should create a powerpoint presentation that could convince a potential cleint to want a website.

I did, and sent it back to them. No reply until over the weekend. Then I got the shocker. The replied me that I was doing great and that I needed to execute. They sent a list of "potential cleints" which consisted mainly of restaurants and small businesses.

I was supposed to call them and try to set up 3 interviews, when I do, I shoudl e-mail them and inform them of the venue, time and date of the interview, an account executive will be assigned to me. I was to be present when the account executive meets with the clients I had contacted. I felt bad. How the hell would I represent a company I don't even work for. What if they ask me for a business card. Oh, they had told me I would not be selling anything.

So I replied IDtraining and informed them that they broke the promise, I want my money back. I got a reply saying I should contact ISCS for any questions. They just administer the test. I contacted ISCSCorporation@aol.com. The e-mail kept coming back to me. Well, I sent a copy to chris.price@iscscorporation.com.

I got a reply back this morning; and this is a copy of the short reply I got from them -----> "We are sorry, but we cannot refund your tuition until we receive a certificate of completion. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Smith at 312 466 7578 Thank you"
The e-mail was sent from Iscshrmail@aol.com.

I called that number which always go to a general mail box. I left a message and up to this point, I haven't got a call back. I also sent them an e-mail saying that I will file a law suit if I have to. I have very intentions of getting my money back.

If anyone out there knows the necessary step I need to take please e-mail me. (please webmaster, include my e-mail when you post this).

This is a scam, no doubt. All of them at the place seem to have the same phone number 312-466-7578. and noone picks it up. This was one of the red flag I ignored. I wanted to go up there to confront someone; but then I shouldn't do anything illegal. But BEWARE.

They know the economy is bad and are preying on desperate job seekers. this would never happen to me when I had a job. Anyways, goodluck, but please I need help in getting my $450 back. That's a whole lot of money for an unemployed man
