Kim, the owner of Isis A-Z Bridal in Irving, TX, told us when we walked into her store that she would give me the price I was getting at another bridal shop in Ft. Worth PLUS 15% off all products.  I brought in my bridal party which consisted of about 15 girls, 3 of which paid in full.  The others put down deposits like she said they could.  My wedding is not until Jan. 2011 and she was told this.  I didn't want my girls to have to shell out $400 right after the holidays and i told her I wanted them to be able to make payments, just like the other place.  She said ok.  Well once writing up our recpts. I noticed the only discount she gave us was no tax, 8.25%, which is not what she originally told me to get my business.  There were 3 other girls who weren't there but we agreed that I would call her with their measurements but go ahead and order the other dresses.  I purchased a $600 dress from her and the only thing she gave me was a veil up to $119 and tiara up to $79. What a deal?? Well I was pulled aside by one of her employees who told me she was ripping us off and that she always gives people 15% discount.  This is when the madness began.  She called 3 months later asking for money and come to find out the dresses had not even been ordered! One of my bridesmaids went to make a payment on her dress as well as mine and this is when we found out the original dresses ($140) had not been ordered.  I was pissed.  I talked to Kim and asked her why the dresses weren't ordered and her response was she was waiting on the other measurements.  We had already discussed ordering the other dresses without those.  Besides, I went to another store and found the same dresses $50 cheaper.  I told her don't worry about the other girls and order the dresses.  NO DRESSES WERE ORDERED!!

The calls kept coming in asking for money. His moms dress was $160, her deposit was $40.  Kim threatened that if she didn't make a payment, she was going to put her dress on the floor to sale.  I have girls of all sizes in my party, from M to 2XL.  One of the employees in the store said it would be better if we didn't order a dress out the book because she screws people that way and we should order something out of the store and be done.  I took her advice and told Kim not to order the dresses, which not to my surprise had not been ordered anyway after a second conversation about ordering the dresses. I brought in my largest and my smallest girl to find another dress.  Kim agreed that if we foudn another dress that was cheaper, because of her no refund policy, we could get something out the store that equalled to $140.

We found a dress for the same price which Kim said would fit my largest girl.  She called the company and they said the dress may be discontinued and she would call me Monday, this was a Thursday.  After leaving her shop I went to the other bridal shop and the lady called and said NO, the dresses are NOT discontinued and called the company to confirm.  This same dress that was $140 in Kim's shop was $75 at the other shop, closer to my house.  I went to Kim the next day and told her I had talked to the company and the dresses are not being discontinued and she needed to order those dresses.  She gave me some story about the people who speak English not knowing and she was the only one that could talk to the Chinese people, the owners.  Well I said we were just gonna find a dress out the store and be done because she was playing too many games.

My God sister, who had paid for the original dress in full, went to try on a M dress with spandex material.  Kim told her, "a medium will not fit you, you are too big, you need a large!" The conversation went on with Kim coming from behind the counter chasing her in the dressing room demanding she try on a larger size and told her if she broke the zipper she was going to buy the dress.  My sister's response was if he broke it, she already paid for it because she had her $140 and that dress was only $99.  She went into the dressing room and Kim and I began to talk.  She told me she didn't want us coming back in her store.  I told her she had been lying from the begining.  She lied about the discount on the merchandise.  She then started denying she told me she would give 15%.  My response was, "why would I drive all the way to Irving from Ft. Worth for a dress that I can get for the same price around the corner from my house?" SILENCE! Then I told her she lied about her banquet room, which she offered to us for $1000 and all we had to give her was $200 deposit and the room would be ready in 2 weeks (this was in March by the way).  Well I'm glad I didn't give her any money because she just got the ok from the city to even fix the building up in May!! Once I began calling her on her lies is when she got mad.

My sister and cousin come out of the dressing room and I told Kim just order these dresses for $99 and let them get some shoes or something.  Her response, NO! We asked why not. She folded her arms and said, "because I don't want to!" So now she has the money and the dresses, with a NO REFUND POLICY!.  We told her either she was going to order the dresses and let them get something else out the store or she was going to give our money back.  She said if we ordered the $99 dresses we would just lose out on the rest of the money. We called a family friend who is a judge in Dallas County who said we could take her to small claims court.  She called the mall security.  I spoke with him and told him what was going on, his response was, "so she has your money, but you don't have the dresses?!" He went in and talked to her and told her we were serious about taking her to court and because she has the money and we have no merchandise she would lose so it would be in her best interest to let us order the dresses and get something out of the store.  With a lot of convincing, she did.  However, this leads my girls who only put down a deposit on the original dress of $140 to pay that same price for a dress that was only $99.  So they are forced to purchase something from her store.  My dress is not paid in full and she wouldn't even let them put the money on my dress, even though it's something else in the store right?

While writing up the recpts. there is an E for event date (1/22/2011) and a F for final payment (9/22/2010).  She calls me the next week asking for a payment! I told her the final payment on the recpt wasnt until Sept. she said they needed to come make a payment or she wasn't going to order the dresses.  That made me think, when we left the week before she said the dresses would be ordered Monday.  It's been a week and she STILL hasn't ordered the dresses? I told her I was at work and didn't have time to talk and would call her when I got off.  I was then called by one of her employees who told me Kim told them to hold my daughter's dress (which was paid in full on a separate ticket) until i came to pay for and pick up my wedding dress.  I went up there that same day to pick up my daughters dress and was taken through the ringer to get it.

I filed a complaint with the mall Chief President and with the BBB Dallas.  When she recieved the BBB complaint, her response was, "it's just the BBB they can't do anything to me!" This lady is out of control.  I have been told so many horror stories about how she has screwed people out of their hard-earned money it's ridiculous!  I am trying my best to get this place closed.  She does not need to be in business.

Once horror story that sticks out, this from her employee, said a larger lady came in to get fitted for a dress.  Her measurements were 30, she took the woman's money and when the woman left, Kim, the owner, laughed and said, "she wont get her dress because they only come up to size 28 but I have her money and I have no refund policy."  THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!

Please DO NOT shop here if you value your dollars!
