I was looking to buy a camper and found a listing on the omaha.craigslist.org website under rv's for a nice 2001 Jayco Pop-up camper. The seller, "Chat McKitterick" wanted only $2300 for it, so I contacted him through e-mail.

He returned my e-mail telling me he was on his honeymoon in Hawaii and that he had listed it with an iSold It company before he left. He said his intention was to sell it when he returned on his own but had some family problems concerning his mom and therefore decide to list it and sell asap. I had asked if the camper was available to be seen, but he stated that he wasn't sure where in Nebraska it was since he had left the item at home and the company came while he was gone to list them.

He said he would contact iSold It and they would contact me through e-mail. I received an e-mail from an "iSold It" site that explained to me the transaction details, the camper was to have a guarantee for 10 days that if we didn't like it we could ship it back at the owners expense. All of the money transactions were to go through the Western Union. And that all the US agents were currently busy with other transactions so I would have to wire the money to the UK.

It also said on the "iSold It" website that the seller was checked out and was a secure seller that had $10,000 worth of items listed with them at the time. No credit cards were accepted, paypal or anything except for Western Union wire.

I had some questions about the Western Union Fee and shipping and handling for the camper, so I e-mailed "iSold It" and the "Director of Franshise Support" "Lee Feldman" e-mailed me and said that the fee and s & H were included in the $2300. What I didn't know was that the real Lee Feldman wasn't answering my e-mails.

I checked on the internet for iSold It scams and nothing came up, I even looked up iSold It and it is a real franchise. I looked up the street that "Chat" was staying at in Hawaii and it really didn't send up any red flags for me.

Any way I wired the money and got an e-mail from "Chat" and "iSold It" that said that they would e-mail me within 24 hours of the wire and tell me s & h details, that was my last contact with either of them. And it has been 2 weeks and no camper, and the money was picked up in London.

Later I called the real Lee Feldman who told me that this has happend quite a lot with the iSold It franchise.
