We purchased a whole house water filter that was financed through The ISPC back in 2008. The total amount financed was $4500, we paid on the filter for 5 years. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and I missed a few payments. I had attempted to discuss the matter with the company, which was much more upsetting than helpful. When I had gotten on the website to pay on it my balance was $0.00, that was around October 2013. In February 15,2014, we received a summons to appear in Court in Florida on the 17th of February 2014. We are in Arkansas, we have 4 kids, and my husband was battling cancer...as they had planned we did not make the court date and they were granted a judgement against us. We received one letter, a copy of the judgement and nothing more. I checked our bank account on Thursday September 24, 2015 and it showed we had a balance of $3430 which was very strange since we had not made a deposit. The following day everything still looked the same when I checked the account, so we called the bank and they informed us that was the amount we were overdrawn due to a garnishment on our account and the account was frozen. Today is Tuesday September 29, 2015 and I still have not received a notice of any kind, the money has been deposited into my account, I cannot get anyone from The ISPC to explain to me what is going on, their lawyer Michael Ginsberg will not answer his phone or return our calls, the bank refuses to unfreeze our account, the court in Florida is completely unhelpful and we are stuck in a huge mess! The ISPC has made our life a complete disaster and won't just take their money which is apparently double what we owed in the first place and they can't even give us a call or mail a letter.
