well I guess I LET MY Personal vanity and sensitivity to being middle aged get the better of my judgement having been involved in living history military re-enactment for 15 years and being tired of everything being youth oriented I DECIDED TO ATEMPT TO Call these peoples bluffs. i approached them in our local mall armed with my I-PHONE PICTURES TO SEE IF THEY MIGHT BE INTERESTED. low and behold they expressed interest. they took some basic contact info and several days later i was contacted by 'chris' who had an extremely desperate phone manner much like a used car salesman who's very job depended on closing this deal. BTW HE HAD THE WORST CELL PHONE SERVICE ON EARTH AND LATER I NOTICED HE HAD CALLED FROM AT LEAST 4 DIFFERENT NUMBERS which probably indicated prepaid phones. chris spoke with me for about 20
minutes to get some background info and to set up a evaluation at the office. he repeatedly told me to dress my best and to bring at least 6 pictures i liked so we set the meeting. i arrived at the office which i can best describe as minimalistic shiek. i filled out an info form that asked several crucial questions 1. do you have a portfolio2. do you know what a 'composite card is.? WHILE WAITING FOR MY TALENT DIRECTOR i observed several svelt 20 somethings parading about all wearing very simalar hip clothing..

i met my director jenna WHO WAS A VERY ATTRACTIVE YOUNG WOMAN who hung on my every word AND TOLD ME AT 54 I WAS ENTERING THE BUSINESS AT A GREAT TIME because there existed a severe shortage of middle aged men with my looks and presence avaiable. then came out the sample COMPOSITE CARDS WHICH ARE PHOTO CARDS WITH 4-5 DIFFERENT LOOKS ON THEM. NEXT CAME THE PITCH FOR professional photo packages starting at 800 going to 2000 dollars. jenna was so enthusiastic about my possibilities she offered me a 2000 dollar package for 1500. i admit i was flattered i wrote the check,
however after signing some rather benign looking paperwork we concluded the interview by setting a date for my photo shoot. it was a cold day and while walking to my car I HAD AN EPIPHANY. I READ ALL THE PAPERWORK CAREFULLY ANS REALIZED THAT ANY ATTEMPT TO CANCEL was akin to a first amendment hearing

i decided i had been scammed and proceeded to call my bank and put a stop on my check and i called the m back on friday my interview was on a thursday and informed them not to bother to cash the check because it had been stopped.
THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS THEN PROCEEDED WITH A HALF HEARTED ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE ME INTO BELIEVING I WAS ACTING IN A CRIMINAL MANNER BY DEFRAUDING THEM BY STOPPING THE CHECK IN SHORT STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY

I
