Complaint Review: J C Penney

J C Penney J C Penney allowed without my consent someone unknown to me to be added to my card. I have been with the company since the 70s. I have paid all charges for all these years timely. Fraud paperwork was filed with them and no one with the company can help us. My wife and I have done all we were told to do but constantly they keep letting someone else thousands of miles away charge on the account. There seems to be no one in the company who can handle this problem which has gone on for five months Nationwide

Since Jan 14,2014 JC Penney has allowed someone whom they allowed to be added to the account to makes charges to my account. I sent certified copies with a letter accident report etc they requested. Now i must send again. Apparently they are not reading their certified mail nor are they countless conversations on the phone with supervisors, etc. are disregarded. I am a victim of J C Penneys poor management and disregard for a customer who has paid them thousands of dollars every year since the 70's.

File a police fraud report

An accident report won't help you. File a police fraud report and supply it to your credit card company. They will have to shut down the card and issue a new one.

When you file the police report, make sure you have the other letters you sent to JC Penny as proof tht you notified them months ago.

Go the FTC(dot)gov website and look up ID Theft and follow the steps there too. Make sure to pull your own consumer credit report to check to see if other accounts were opened up in your name. Please do all of this right away.
