These people are sneaky and very good at what they do, which is steal money from people...I was mislead by phone offer, changed my mind about subscription then was verbally scolded, told that I had committed fraud by acccidentally giving wrong cc#...told them I didn't want to purchase anything..gave correct cc# to prove I had made a mistake in giving # in the first place, repeated that I didn't want to purchase, still yet $58.16 has been charged to my debit card, and I figure that I will get hit for the 39.60 soon just like the other couple has been hit...these people are no good CROOKS and need to be stopped!!!

J. Cross Marketing Has Shut Down!

#5UPDATE Employee

Fri, May 02, 2003

My name is Angie and I am an ex-employee of J. Cross Marketing (also known as "Cross Media Services" or "CMS"). As of yestrday, I am unemployed. Upon my arrival to work yesterday, I found a news reporter, a few co-workers of mine, and a sign on the door that stated the Hamilton and Lolo locations of J. Cross Marketing had been shut down. It also said that if we wanted to keep our jobs, we must commute 40 miles to the nearby town, Missoula where another J. Cross Call Center is located.

The odd thing about this is that there were rumors of the supposed closing of J. Cross Marketing weeks before it happened, which was said to be started by a district manager who couldn't keep his mouth shut. After many of the employees had become concerned and began to ask questions about the rumors, there was a meeting to all of the employees that if our former boss ever caught any of us continuing these rumors, we would be fired immediately.

So here comes the big question, what are we supposed to do about these crooks? Myself and all of my fellow employees are out of work in a small town where there aren't many job opportunities, two of which have reccently had children within the past few weeks. We were told that our jobs were secure and we didn't have to worry about losing them. Days later our place of work mysteriously shuts down without any warning.

Another thing that bothers me is the fact that our paychecks are bouncing. A friend of mine, Courtney, is $900.00 in debt with her bank, because all of her paychecks that she's been depositing are worthless. My bank account is frozen and I can't and my bills.

The same day J. Cross Marketing shut down, a man came and tried to tell us what was happening. All he said is that we shouldn't file any lawsuits, and that everything would be fine. Yeah, right. Tell that to my car insurance company since I can't pay the bill.

Somebody needs to do something about these people, FAST! They need to be shut down! If there is anybody reading this that can do something about these terrible and heartless people, please help to close the other offices so that other people don't get hurt by J. Cross Marketing, and so that no more innocent people get ripped off by these greedy scam artists. Thank you.
