I went to j.d byrider october of 2005 and got a plymouth breeze. When I went to license the car it said the car was only worth $3500 but I'm paying $13401.20 for the car. And every time I told them something was wrong they tried to charge me to look at it. And I want to find out what I could do to fix this problem..

I am an ex employee of this store.I know that the automobiles that they purchase is from an auto auction in clarksville,Indiana and the person or persons that purchase these vehicles are not allowed to pay over $4,000 for any automobile. Most of them are purchased for under $2,500.They have no idea what kind of shape these vehicles are in when they get them.I also know that the $1,000 dollar for any trade deal is a joke. They will say that they are giving you a grand for your trade but they add $1,000 to your total price on the car you purchase. Then they just take your trade to the auction and get whatever amount it goes for. This was going on when I was employed there back in and around 2001.Im not shure if the same people are still running the place or not but I would be aware!

Not much you can do

First of all, are you counting interest charges in that $13000 figure? Or is that without interest?

Not much you can do in either case though. You bought the car, and you signed the papers. JDB is usually where people with bad credit go because they can't buy a car elsewhere. So, they sold you a car last year, and now you're complaining about the price. Why now? Why didn't you complain then, and walk out?
