I went to JD Byrider to get a car, and I wasnt expecting to get it, but I did leave with a 2000 Ford Taurus. While giving all the information to the dealers I felt they were being a little too personal. So I used the address on my driver license. ( which was a previous address) At the same time I was working for a different company. So I gave them the correct company and company phone number.

After they had ran my "credit" they came back into the room to tell me I was approved for the car. So I had to make three payments of $250.00 to equal my down-payment before I had to make actual car payments. That was okay as long as I got to my job each day. After I had made all the payments to equal my down-payment. I went in to make my very first payment. At this time I had just started another better paying job. I did not think to tell them I started another job. I wnet in to make the payment and realized I was only $7.00 short, so I told the lady at the payment station that I would come back to give her the $7.00. She said that will be fine. "Don't worry about it". I didn't worry about it.

Three days later I received a phone call from Terry Johnson saying " Stephanie you need to come in to the office with the car so we can discuss your deliquent account". I didn't know what was going on so I told her I would come in knowing I was on $7.00 short on my payment. The next day before I went to work I stopped by there to give them the $7.00 the lady at the desk said she couldn't take it because I was deliquent and I neede to talk with Terry. I was running late and couldn't stick around to talk about $7.00.

When I got to work my cell phone rang. I answered. It was Terry, "Stephanie how do you think you are going to get to work tomorrow. I suggest you bring the car back to us today." I told her I was at work and could not talk. The next day I had my sister take me up there in her truck because Terry had already threatened to repo my car. When I went into the office all the staff was staring at me like I had just robbed a bank.

While I was sitting in the office with Terry, another staff member ran my sister tags in and went to her house to repo my car. She said she was repoing my car because I didn't tell her where I lived and that I had another job. I feel if they knew that I had gotten another job one week after I had the car then they knew it before I had finished making my down-payment. They should have taken the car then instead of waiting til all that money was received from. These are some very scandalous people. I hope somebody really do something about the way they scam people. Whoever read this please pass this along to people that think about going to JD Byrider. They are no good and they will rob you blind. Not just the JD Byrider here in Columbus Ohio but anywhere. If we stop going to them they will eventually run out of business.
JD Byrider is JD Ripoff!!

basically you committed fraud on your loan application and got caught and now you're upset at the company. And since the company was going to finance your car you were surprised that they were asking personal questions like: what's your address and what's your phone number? So bottom line: wrong address, change employers without notifying them and then short on the first payment. Gee I don't see why they wanted their car back.

J.D. Byrider franchise............IMHO......

The J.D. Byrider franchise is based in Carmel, IN. A used car operation joining the J.D. Byrider group and paying their franchise fees can be compared to a PETTY criminal initially being incarcerated at Riker's Island and coming out a well educated, SKILLFUL criminal.
.
Most used (and new) car dealers are already uniquely skilled at fleecing the general public. Joining the J.D. Byrider group, albeit representing an expense to the dealer, gives the dealer access to the entire industry spectrum of shady, shameful methods of even more effectively screwing their customers.
.
Basically, a well established J.D. Byrider franchisee has a virtual PHd. in fleecing the unfortunate buyers that have the misfortune of being attracted by their slick,
deceptive advertising. The only missing props are a gun and mask. The average buyer doesn't stand a chance in hell of a fair deal on a decent car priced and financed competetively with honest, straight-forward "financing".
