On october 2003 I purchased a van from jdbyrider. The windshield had a small crack in it and I asked the sales man if it would be fixed - if not I did not want the vehicle. He said yes to bring it back that weekend and they would replace it.

That night we decided to go for a ride in our new van and the check engine light came on. We took it back the very next day to find out it was the transmission. They said leave the van and they would fix that as well as the windshield. So I had to get a rental car.

When we got the van back they fixed the transmission (with a junk yard transmission) however they patched the windshield. almost a week later the crack got bigger. So I took it back and they said they would replace it again. A company was sent to my house and replaced the windshield in my driveway.

The next time it rained the windshield leaked. Took it back again and they put some kind of calking arround it and said its fixed. They have put this calking on 5 times now and I still have a leak. Now my head liner is sagging and the store manager doesn't understand why he should fix that. Also now my headlights are going out for no reason at all while I am driving and they don't think they are responsile for that either.

The windshield leaked from october 2003 until now jan. 2005 I think the water has gotten into the dash & is shorting things out. I just want to settle with them on my account. The store manager says he can't work with us.

Robert and Christina - the company who fixed the windshield in the van made a mistake - unfortunately that is something we cannot control. None of us would want to drive a vehicle with a leaky windshield.

And even though it was not JD Byrider who fixed your Astrovan in regards to its leaking, we are standing behind our deal as we have discussed since you came to us earlier - we will address the issues regarding the windshield!!
