I, too, took the Denver Post Sunday supplement ad from J.D. Marvel Products at face value. On 11/27/01, I sent a check ($17.70) for 2 pairs of men's moccasins as a holiday gift for my husband. My check cleared my bank on 12/10/01.

I called them on 12/14/01, not knowing that the number I was calling was in Quebec, Canada, rather than Champlain, NY, (another $8.70 in long distance charges on my phone bill) and was told that the slippers would ship approx. 4-6 weeks after my check had cleared.

I called them again on 1/10, but rather than wait on hold, I sent them an e-mail instead, asking them for the status of my order. I sent 2 more e-mails (1/16 and 1/21), none of which were answered.

Today I searched for "J.D. Marvel fraud" on the 'net and was led to this website to find out the bad news.

I, too, would like to report them to appropriate authorities for fraudulent business practices, and would be willing to be part of a class action suit, if that is possible. May have to chalk this up as a learning experience... :~(

Hi
My Wife ordered iteam's from J.D Marvel back in
Feb and we have only just now recevied the goods
she oreded (April 9th)
So I guess we were one of the lucky ones to have
got our stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
