Complaint Review: J.D. Murray DDS & Associates

On 12/06/16 I went to J.D. Murray, D.D.S for an evaluation for dental implants.  He charged me $225 for a CT scan.  They called it a CT scan but it was actually a panoramic dental x ray.

The implants would cost $11K.  An appointment was made for 12/13/16 to begin the procedure.

My appointment had to be changed to 12/19/16.

I decided that since I had a week before my next appointment I would get a second opinion.

I talked with an employee named Victoria and she became very irate when I told her that I wanted to get another opinion.  I told her that I wanted a copy of my x-ray and she said it would cost $300 for a copy.  I have it on recording where she said the copy would cost $300.  Here is a link which proves that it’s illegal to overcharge for medical records:

However, I’m so very thankful that this happened because since then I’ve had two dentists tell me that I don’t have enough bone mass for the procedure they were going to do. 

Please, please, please, be very careful with these people because they sure think they are above the law (see link) and obviously have no problem doing dangerous procedures.  SCARY!!!
