This Appliance Repair place is by far the worse Customer Service I have had in my 12 years in AZ. The receptionist is very short with you, especially when you voice your concerns. I started with these people in April on a Wine Refrigerator that I purchased from a private party. The Fridge would not get cold after having it plugged in for several hours. I searched for local Danby service providers and J&H Appliance in Goodyear popped up as it is close to my work. I fully explained the situation to the girl who handles the phone calls. She said that I could bring it to them for no cost to evaluate the situation or pay a crazy $156 serivce call to assess the situation. So I decided to save the money and bring it to them. Well it sat there for about a month or so before I could get an answer as to what was wrong with the fridge.

After multiple calls of inquiry, some of which were never returned, I finally got a call that the brand new fridge needed two parts that had to be ordered from Danby. One happened to be on back order, they claimed, and I was now forced to wait until the back ordered part came in. This was not an issue at this point unti that wait turned into 7 months with no follow up from them. During this time I installed a custom dry bar with cabinets and a counter top that would also custom fit this wine fridge. This is a wine fridge with ventilation in the front because it gets custom fit in the hole to give the custom built in look. I did my research to make sure this was the correct Fridge for my situation.

I explained to the girl on the phone that I purchased it from a private party and because it was under a year from purchase date she would be able to cover the parts under warranty. I asked this multiple times as it says on the manual that ony the original purchaser can claim warranty parts.

Fast forward to this week and my parts are finally in and an apt is finally set up to repair my fridge. The Repair man gets to my house and is immediately rude with no customer service skills at all. Before he starts the repair he starts to tell me that this setup for the fridge will not work at all because there is no clearance at the top to ventilate the unit. I explained to him that I bought this one because it has a front ventilation unit specifically used for built ins and he rudely replies that I am wrong and that the ventilation goes through the back and because of this the unit wil never work correctly and I will be constantly replacing parts. He then proceeds to tell me that my $1000 unit is a cheap unit that sells for around $200. If you google the model number and brand it sells for no less than $950. So this was quite insulting coming from a place that supposedly is a Danby service provider. Never heard of the Repair Facility bad mouthing the Company that pays them for warranty work.

After all of this negatvity he asks me where I purchased the unit. I told him it was from a private individual and that I explained that to the girl multiple times at the little commerical office that they are housed out of. He immediately says "This cannot be covered under warranty because you are not the first owner". He immediately gets on the phone with what I presume was Danby customer service to confirm that I am not eligible for warranty parts. He then rudly states that I need to pay him for $400+ in parts that I was told multiple times would be covered. I told him there is no way I was paying that plus his ridiculous $156 service fee. After all according to him it is a piece of crap $200 fridge. Why would the parts be double that on this supposed "Piece of Crap". He said well you at least need to pay me for the service fee. I told him that I wasn't giving him a dime, mostly because of his horrible customer service and continued negativity towards me.

Come to find out after speaking to Danby directly these $400+ parts ended up costing me $77 including shipping to my house. I truly believe that he was trying to charge me 3 times extra for these parts with full intentions on getting it covered under warranty so that he could pocket the full profit. THis self proclaimed "Owner" of the company is an absolute crook and will not see a dime from me, mainly because his poor cust service skills!!!
