Complaint Review: J.K. Harris & Co

J.K. Harris & Company is a fraud and a incompetent company. I signed an agreement in November 2006 to help in payment of my 2005 Federal Income Tax. I received one letter from them in January 2007, stating that all was well in hand and all should be complete in 60 to 90 days, disregard any letters from the IRS and not to worry. I did as told. The first week in September 2007, I receive Notice of Levy from the IRS. I send J.K. Harris & Co, a fax the day I received the notice. Followed up with a call. No responce! Last week of the same month I received Final Notice of Levy, send another fax. Again followed up with a call. Again no responce.

My personal account was levied $4400, still no action from the company. Finally after almost a year after signing the companies agreement and after I was levied I get some action. I had to resubmit ALL of my paperwork after a year! No responce in checking if anything else would be needed. I ended up paying the IRS what I was paying from the start without the Levy. Now I have added interest and penalties added by the IRS because J.K. Harris & Company did not do what they said they would do. On top of that I'm on heavy medication for depression and anxiety, which have never been on before! Now I'm almost left penniless due to their inaction.
