Complaint Review: J Robinson Wrestling Camps

In 2011 our son was signed up for a J Robinson Camp .  He hurt his back during the summer after we had turned in the appliation.  When we realized it would not  be completely better by the time the camp started, my husband called Kurt, the camp director and his recommendation was to not send our son to the camp.  We were under the impression we would get a refund of our money.  When contacting J Robinson about the refund, we received a letter that stated we had been reviewed by a committe and a verdict was decided.  They would not refund our money, but would give us a credit of $1129 ($1429 less $300 non-refundable deposit) towards future camps.  When I called for an explanation, they said I had not purchased the cancellation insurance so the credit can be used by us, or it can be transferred to others who could buy it from you (of course at a further discount and loss of money to me).  It has been one year and we still can't find anyone who wants to buy our credit.  I am still out $1400.
