I've personally used several of J2's faxing brands, and I can attest that J2 is an awful, awful company.  They don't care about providing good customer service--at all.  That's not their M.O.  Their sales reps are paid to make sales, not provide support.  Their 'support' is outsourced overseas to underpaid drones who either will be unable to help you, be unintelligible, or both.  Oh, and DON'T make the mistake they want you to make by unwittingly jumping from one J2 brand to another, fooling yourself into thinking you're taking your business 'elsewhere', because you aren't.  J2 is in the business of swallowing up any and all competitors they can.  Once a competitor has been acquired, J2 doesn't bother adopting any innovations or services that competitor used to do better than J2 did.  They don't want one of their own 'sub' brands outperforming their lackluster, underwhelming flagship, eFax, after all.  No, instead they dismantle and gut whatever system that acquired brand used to use, stop supporting any side services or goodies that brand used to offer, and essentially keep the brand itself as a puppet on a string so that the inevitable churn of dissatisfied, angry customers becomes increasingly more likely to jump ship, right into one of their own acquired 'competing' brands.  Some--but not all--of these brands include eFax, Fax.com, MyFax, MetroFax, Send2Fax, TrustFax, RapidFax, SmartFax, and many many others.  They could really care less about doing right by customers or providing them with good service and good value.  Customers are there to serve THEM, not the other way around, as far as J2's concerned.  Don't want to give your business to a company like that?  There are still other internet-faxing companies that are--as yet--not under the corrupting influence or control of J2, but don't count on that to always be the case.  J2 has a nasty habit of quietly acquiring competitors in much the same way Alexander the Great acquired new real estate for Greece.
