My wife bought two skin care products on-line. Samples (1.5 oz.) were $4.99 and $4.95 respectively. I pay the bills and denoted two charges for these amounts plus addititional charges for $84.75 and $89.75 on our bank statement.

Therefore, I contacted the company and they informed me that the recurring charges were listed in the 'fine print'. My wife does not recall reading any 'fine print', nor any mention or listing of it on the web-site when ordering.

The company initially refused to cancel the order and refund the $84.75 or the $89.75 saying there was nothing they could do.

Well, after spending nearly 30 minutes on the phone and threatening a lawsuit the company representative refunded the $84.75. But I had to call back and talk to a separate person regarding the $89.75 bill. That second  company representative refused to reimburse us for our $89.75 but agreed to cancel the ongoing monthly charges of $89.75/month.

This is a scam. We had to cancel our credit cards and get new ones to avoid the possibility of the company billing us every month from now until eternity!

If it's too good to be true, buyer beware.
