I'd just left the hospital after spending eight weeks as an inpatient with a deadly brain disease, "Encephalopathy." I wasn't able to function at a legal and proper psychiatric level and therefore make a decision based upon the legal standards required by law to make an informed consent.

If the hospital discharged you where you could not function at a proper psychiatric level and left you without the proper support or care then I think you may actually have a case against the hospital and/or your doctors.
Now, if that isn't exactly the full story this may be nothing more than a case of Buyer's Remorse.
