Jack Field messaged me from and online ad I placed for internet work. He acted like he knew how to fix my problems and said he demanded a full payment upfront. Since he was from the USA and seemed to know what he was talking about I reluctatly sent the money. He requested payment threw system that you cannot refund. He declined using a system we were both protected. I should have not sent it but I did. He also prommised to fix the problem with my website in 1 day. We are now on the 4th day and he wont reply to messages or refund me. Anyone needing web development work. please stay far away from this scammer.

The time of delivery was clarified in the beginning of the work. And developer was paid up front. If developer agreed to the rate and was paid and promised within that timeframe no matter what is was. Nothing else matters. And its all in the text messages. I am client, you could have just given the money back and be done. The payment was for result, not hourly pay.

This particular client had a poor experience, and I can understand the frustration - however after multiple attempts to explain to the client that a $100 flat-rate fee, for the modification and streamlining of a codeigniter app would take upwards of 5 hours & expanded into an over 10 hour job. The client was made aware of these and stated 'This needed to be completed same-day', when paying in the evening. He understood that I continued beyond the pre-arranged hourly block without requesting additional time to be funded.
The client had expressed no issues with paying further funds for the additional time. The initial credentials, and payment were provided at 6:18PM Friday August 16th. As I write this it's currently 3PM August 18th. We are within 48 hours, on a weekend. This is not the 4 days stated, communication was at a very high point including text messages up to 5AM EST. When requesting a refund for work that was uploaded, I had noted that the hourly rate that was being paid was less than minimum wage. The clients chosen response was that "I was better off dealing with Indians. I tried to give American a chance and you rip me off".
Clients particular issue was a modified header where there were multiple dead-links, and AJAX queries cycling which fell outside the initial scope of page optimization. After attempting to help a small business owner, being paid less than minimum wage, and dealing with hyperbolization, ultimatums, and threats I chose to decline refunding the contract after this report. I will be seeking legal recourse against the client.
I will be holding the text message proof which can be provided to any prospective client upon request, however I will not be posting them in order to maintain the clients privacy regardless of the false report.
