www.runescape.com is an online game that I have played for a very long time. After a hiatus, I recently renewed my membership only to find that I could not get the game to work due to some unknown technical difficulty. After trying everything I could and still not fixing the problem, I contacted customer service to request a refund.

I was denied a refund because the funds were taken "according to the agreement." Jagex does not feel a need to perform their end of the contract by allowing me to play the game I paid to play, and has no sympathy for the fact that I am unable to fix a problem that no reasonable person would have expected to occur.

It's just another case of big business bullying consumers over small amounts that aren't worth the cost of litigation to recollect.
