I used Jail Sucks Bail Bonds to bail out a friend in March 2X. They were a no collateral, signiture only bonds a total of $65,000. Their fee was $6500, inititally Given $2750. Then given $500 the next week and $1200 a week and a half after that. Then with in a few days of that, April 16th, the jail bird was arrested again and now in prison (different case).
The bonds held by Jail Sucks were not forfeited! Next thing I know my son wakes me up asking where my car is. After asking the neighbor I figured the tow truck was the Jail Sucks. When I called they were rude, lied to me about where my car was and hung up on me.
It was the holiday weekend and ruined for my children and myself. Called that Tuesday morning rude again, was told the owner would call me back. He never did. I called wednesday morning and suprisingly the owner had left for the day (9:00am) they open at 8:00. I had enough aked where my car was and how do i get it. The polite phone girl said she wasn't talking to me anymore and hung up, that made #2.
Since I found they have put themselves as lien holder on the title. Nothing has been filed with the court. My car car is bare minimum, giving it away $14,000. There was $2-3,000 owed. Not really comparable! They have stolen my car and soon to get away with it. Nobody has any expierence with this type of case due to the civil/ consumer/ criminal issues.
I had to pay $390 to get my belongings that Western had been nice enough to empty my car of. It included my wallet, $2000 of collectables (going to a swap meet) and an envelope (in the glove box) with over $1000 cash (for the jailbird an attorney) which as you can guess wasn't there. This is the short version. I would appriciate any help or advice any body has.

I am a former Bail Bond Company owner in Western Washington. Your case is not uncommon in the Bail Bond industry. The Department of Licensing however, is more than willing to investigate any signs of abuse from a Bail Bond Company and their agents. Contact them with specifics and they will objectively review your case and see if you can get some satisfaction from the company. Here's a telephone number to their complaint department. 360-664-6611. There is also a website available to file your complaint. Wouldn't copy and paste here for some reason. Google Dept of Licensing, Washington State and follow the directions to bring it up. Hope this helps.
