Complaint Review: Jaime Velarde

Jaime Velarde owner operator of several Valet Parking Services in Nevada, Arizona, and Florida without the proper licenses or insurance coverage required. Jaime Velarde refuse to pay damages done to my vehicle back in 2007 while one of his employees smashed my Karmaghia against a block wall.

Jaime Velarde refuses to recognize the damage, insist that they contacted me to make arrangement when in reality they have ignored every comunication from the Las Vegas Small Claim Court. Jaime Velarde is an individual not to be trusted, he operates his business from PO Boxes on the above mentioned states. The personal tha he hires are not professional and without the proper documentation to work.

Here is my experience with Jaime Velarde and his company ABC American Valet also known as ABC Valet, this was in 2007 and still waiting for him to take responsabilites of the action and damages.

On October 18, 2007 I attended an event in Henderson NV.

I arrived at 6:30 PM driving my 1965 classic Karmaghia. It was a lot of people waiting in line. They had hired ABC American Valet as the valet company and gave my car to the attendant.

When was time for me to pick up my car, I approached the lady attendant and gave her my ticket I noticed the disarray of keys on the little table that they had and were trying to find the guess keys with a flashlight and could not find my key. Finally it was found and was given to a young attendant. He went to the end of the street to a vacant lot were the cars were parked.

I waited enough time to see that people that came after me were leaving already. I approached the lady again an asked her where is my car Is coming she said, then I noticed the young man that took my keys, walking back from the vacant lot, and I asked him Were is my car? ..We had a little problem, he said, I drove your car against a wall

What do you mean? I asked I though I had it in reverse, I could not figure out, and it went forward. I want to see it bring it over, I said, Can not be driving, he respond it.

The magnitud of the damage did not allow me to drive it because the front left fender is against the tire, the front end of the car is off center. I had to take a taxi to go home.

Next morning Friday I called the local office at 3230 E. Flamingo Rd Suite 307 Las Vegas, NV. to place a claim and spoke to the person in charge her name is Michelle, I told her what happened, she said that she was aware and was waiting for her broker to call her back. I asked to speak to the owner and she said OH you don't want to speak to him is not going to be pretty.????? I told her that I will call her insurance company and she said that only she can speak that their insurance was Lloyd of London and she was dealing with the broker and I was not authorized to speak with him. I give you five minutes to call me back.

She never did so I called Duran Insurance Bros. Spoke with Mr. Duran. And kind of upset he informed me that They know they are not cover in Nevada only in California, and that they were told several times.
Not only they are not insured in Nevada but I could not find any business license for them in Las Vegas.

Still today after demand letters, and copy of the body shop estimate of almost $6,000.00 in damage they have ignored the request.

They are conducting business here in Las Vegas from a UPS postal office, again with no insurance nor a business license.

Beware they have offices in California, Nevada, Arizona and Florida and I wonder if they are license or bonded on those states.
