Service was called for on a Trane heating unit that wasn't working. Unit was installed into a Tilson home 2 years and 4 months ago. Unit was no longer covered on the Tilson warranty, but still has the manufacture warranty. My husband explained that we had reset breakers and the unit would not turn on as if it was not getting juice. The service came out spent 30 minutes looking at the unit. He determined that the breaker was bad but did not have one to replace it. We were charged 1.5 hrs @ 65.00 per hour for his travel and time along with a trip charge for 13.00 for a total 110.50. The unit was still not working. We had to travel after work to get a breaker which at this hour meant traveling an hour to a larger city. My problem is that they will now probably file on the manufacture warranty and we were left with fixing it ourselves and out 110.50 for nothing. They did state that we would be responsible for labor but didn't say anything about the travel charge or its amount.
