My father had been diagnosed with alzheimers about 8 years ago. Upon his diagnosis he set up a will which divided his estate between his brother, my sister and myself.

Right before his death in Jan. of 2010 he somehow came in contact with a couple by the name of James and Evelyn French. We have since learned they lived in the same community as he did.
It was an assisted living community called Skyline Ranch Country Club. It is located in Valley Center California.

On March 21, 2010 nearly 2 months after my father died, we recieved a call from James French, informing us of my fathers death. He said that he had passed a few weeks prior and he and his wife made the decision to have my father cremated!!!!! this was not his wishes as far as we were ever told!! They also informed us my father signed a living trust in December of 2009 ( three weeks before his death, at a time he couldnt even remember his own name).  Everything he and my late mother ever owned, their life savings, stocks, EVERYTHING was given to this "mysterious" couple signed over by a man who couldnt remember his own name!!!

I immediatly traveled to California to try and straighten things out,  while their I spoke with a person working in the front office of Skyline Ranch County Club, by the name of Mark. He informed me that this was not the first time such accusations came about regarding Mr and Mrs French

These people make their living (and a d**n good one) prey on people at the end of life who can no longer defend themselves. They even kept my mothers wedding ring!!!! please help!!!!!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, April 08, 2011

Any document signed by a person diagnosed with Alzheimer's and residing in an assisted living facility is not legally valid.

Not only is there a case against James and Evelyn French. but there are also some questions to be raised about Skyline Ranch, such as why they did not notify the family when your father died.  If Syline Ranch knew your father had Alzheimer's and was caring for him, they should have known that any recent changes in his will were suspicious.

You need to find a probate attorney and contact the sheriff as there seems to be plenty of criminal activity going on.
