Complaint Review: James Fennelly f HireQuality Solutions in Windham; NH-Pelham NH

I also hired Jim Fennelly because he was a very good friend of my brother and have known him for many years. He was hired to rip up rugs in 2 bedrooms and put down wood floors and then put down flooring in the rest of my moms condo. He came to look at job and to give us a quote on what it would cost and said it would take 4 days. I signed contract back on February 2018 and it is now September 15th, 2018 and he still hasn’t completely finished all the work!!! I had a licensed professional contractor come look at work he has done and this guy was blown away that there were so many things that were not right with Jim’s work, there are uneven cuts in floor.

He had told me he had a crew of guys too but then said that my condo was too small to have a crew of guys work but I had neighbors who would have crews come in and do work with no prob,em. He made it sound like he as giving us a great deal for work he was doing but come to find out after bringing measurements of rooms that were being done and what the cost of floors were he was over charging us! He also demanded from beginning that he needed money to pay for the flooring because it would take a coup,e weeks for it to come in (he said he was ordering from home depo) weeks went by and he kept blaming home depo that the floors weren’t in yet and one time he said home depo was delivering all the flooring and after being here for a half hour he was going to lunch and goi g to find out where the truck was and then never came back that day and after that it was excuse after excuse and when he did show up it would always be late in the afternoon and would be lucky if he worked 2 hours.

It was same thing over and over with not having the right tools or one time he put a hole into one of the bedrooms while taking trim off wall and said he needed to stop because he now needed to get stuff to patch wall before he could finish! Well he put up new trim and never repaired that hole but placed trim over hole which is very visible! Oh and after he had given us quote for job he said he forgot to include trimming so charged my mom another $900.00 which I found out was extremely high for what needed to be trimmed. He also asked to be paid in full up front which should have been a red flag but I never expected my brothers good friend to scam us so gave him the money, paid for closet doors to be put in one of the bedrooms and Jim and his brother Sean ripped out old one and still no closet doors have been put up!!!! Do not hire Jim Fenelly or his brother Sean because the only time he was here when he said he would be was to pick up his check!!!!

He has no crew!!!!, he never has the right tools, and doesn’t know how to put in a full days work and blames everything on everyone else!!!! After contacting Home Depo about all the delays they said there were no orders placed at any of the Home Depos and he had to have bought same day. I read a coup,e complaints about him on this site and Judy questioned him about those complaints and he told me tbeg were false allegations but I said how can we all be complaining about the same exact thing? The excuses, the not showing up, the 2 hour word days that start in afternoon and al, the excuses for why your not showing up? Oh and the I don’t have any other jobs!!!! Now I’m finding out he was scamming these other people I read about all while suppose to be doing my job!!!!!!!!! Now my mother has to pay someone else to fix all the mistakes he made and the $900 trim doesn’t even stay up! All the trim is laying on floor!!!!!!!!
