James M. Mitchell Federal Protection Services Liar, cheat, scamming Vets, never pays Lorain, Ohio

James Mitchell under the guise of a Security Company, offers a job to individuals, namely, unemployeed Vets like myself and the previous victim, with promises of paying for certification, etc.  He has them start that day.  He stated I was on the last week of the payroll period and therefore, should expect a check "next week".  Next week comes and he has excuses such as the routing number was wrong, the printer isn't working, I'll bring you a check "tomorrow", but tomorrow never comes.

He contracts security for local businesses.  He had me work at two local businesses every day without a day off.  Those businesses shared a little information at first about the last security guard having the same issues.  Given this concern, I was waiting to see if I would get paid.  It was three weeks and still no paycheck (now two pay periods in).  He had provided me a stub for the previous payday but it never was deposited to my account.   I left after finding out that he had picked up his paycheck from the companies I was working at and never received pay for myself.  I realized I would not be paid for working three weeks straight - 9 p.m. to midnight and 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. without much rest - even during Thanksgiving.  My time off was not to show up between 9 and midnight.

The last guy lasted two months and was never paid.  These were all alarm bells, but I truly wanted to believe the guy and needed the job.  The man I am submitting into  this report has been scamming and using people (namely veterans) to work for free while he lines his own pockets with their hard earned pay. James M. Mitchell is a man not to be trusted; with the constant lies and false promises of days off and without recieving pay, its a wonder he hasnt been found out sooner. This man owes me more than money, he owes me time.

I worked for James for almost a year.

What you say is the fakest s**t I've ever heard.

All of the officers that worked for him were skeptical of him.

I literally watched the man not pay numerous officers.

Making up the most excuses I've ever heard a man say.

I watched the man sleep during shifts.

Sleep with customers of his contractors.

But above all else... The man withdrew child support from my paychecks the whole time I worked for him. Yet never paid a dime.

He is being prosecuted by the lorain city prosecutor as we seek.

Check the public access for the courts.

Search his name. Last case on 2nd page.

He also was horrible at running a business and partied in Cleveland consistently.

He had 12 officer's under his control with 5 locations and not a single one was registered with the state or armed

We could of lost our certification bc of him.

Not to mention if we shot a criminal, we would not be protected.

Check surrounding cities. PSIGS investigated him and he was charged in court.

I believe your statement to me complete bullshit.

The proof is there.

I wouldn't be surprised if the man isn't in prison this time next year.

First off, Chief Mitchell is a great guy and I appreciate the opportunity that he gave me in working with his company. He has always been fair and honest in regards to informing me as to what was happening. I have worked for other security companies and in regards to waiting a few weeks as this person said, it is common practice to have a two week hold before your first paycheck. Second, As I am aware, Chief Mitchell would NEVER rip of a veteran. I was in the Army reserves and he always allowed me time to do my drills and was understanding of my schedule and even helped me out of situations I had in my personal life. He was more than helpful in assisting me in getting my current job with the Cuyahoga Sheriff department. When the state closed most of the accounts he had, he tried his best to get me hours at other places. Say what you want, but I would come and work for him anytime.
