James R. Davis, Attorney Services are misleading and very expensive Houston, Texas
James R. Davis is very good at selling himself. I retained his services for a Wrongful Termination suit against my former employer. James Davis charged me $7000 to file a Charge of Discrimination with the EEOC. I had to totally fill out the form based on a worksheet guide given to me by James himself. Once I sent the completed Charge of Discrimination to James Davis he submitted it to the EEOC. I could have saved myself $7000 and submitted the form myself but James advised me that he specialized in this process and it would benefit me to have legal representation.
A couple of months later, he sent me a copy of my former employers response and advised me to file a rebuttal. Of course that would cost me another $3000 and I was again given a worksheet guide to fill out the information myself. Once I completed this task, he submitted it to the EEOC. I recently received a preemptive Right to Sue Letter from the EEOC and an email from James Davis stating that if I want to continue on I will need to pay a new retainer fee of $25,000 to $50,000 for futher services. Basically he is done and I am out of $10,000.
If he had any true character about himself, he would have advised me to file the case on my own but instead he sold himself as the best option. He talks fast so be prepared to hear this salesman work his magic. I am truly disappointed because he did not properly inform me of how the EEOC process works. He immediately shoved a contract in my face and convinced me that his services would be in my best interest. BEWARE he is overpriced and overzealous. He double talked me the whole time and now I am out of money and frustrated.

I have been licensed in Texas since May of 1998 and Ohio since 2007. I am proud to serve people every day with employment law claims. I have personally assisted thousands of real victims in the last 13 years since 1998. We receive approximately 10,000 calls for service per year. You can visit us at www.employmentlawyers.com to find out what we do.
Every person we consult with is offered a contingency fee option for representation, presuming there is a case, which requires no money to be paid for mediation services. (Fact) However, if I provide premium services I tell all clients my fee verbally and in writing and they can independently decide what is right for them. I also provide prospective clients a referral number to the State Bar of Texas at 877-9-texbar. I also encourage people in writing to get a second opinion if they so choose.
My prospective clients all receive written contracts with clear terms. I also provide the EEOC's address, phone number and explain individuals, free of charge, can file Pro Se without counsel if they so choose the minute they walk in my office. I am very forthright and will be happy to provide you clear details for what I propose be done with your case, presuming you have a claim. All prospective clients are provided the Grievance Hotline Info as required by law in Texas.
Here is a link active as of 10/14/11 showing I have never been found by State Bar of Texas to have violated any rules of conduct or ethics. I take my client's claim very seriously and do my level best for every person I serve. I make no guarantees other than that I will work diligently and competently on a person's case.
